Nursing Admission Circular 2021-2022

Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council has started online application for three-year Midwifery Diploma and four-year BSc Nursing. All of you can complete the online application for Nursing Admission Circular 2022 subject to minimum qualifications. Application Start: April 3, 2022 at 10 A.M

Last Date of Application: 20 April 2022 at 11:59 pm

Last Date for Deposit of Fee: 21 April 2022 at 11:59 PM

Application Fee: 700 Taka for BSc Nursing and 500 Taka for Midwifery

Nursing and Midwifery Seat Number

Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery BSc and Diploma courses have a total of 4,980 seats in 100 institutions. These seats will be used for Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and Diploma in Midwifery courses. However, according to the Circular, the number of seats may be increased further. The number of seats opposite each is mentioned below-

Nursing Application Minimum Qualification

The student must have the following qualifications to apply for nursing.

  • The applicant must be a permanent citizen of Bangladesh and must be under 22 years of age.
  • Must have passed HSC or equivalent examination in 2020 or 2021 and must have passed SSC and equivalent examination in 2018 or 2019.

The minimum eligibility for course based application is mentioned below.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing)

SSC and HSC equivalent examinations in science department must have a minimum GPA of 6.00. However, GPA below 3.00 will not be acceptable in any one test. Biology must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 in both exams.

Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and Diploma in Midwifery

Students who have obtained a minimum GPA of 6.00 in SSC and HSC examinations from any department can apply. However, a test with a minimum GPA below 2.50 will not be acceptable. And only female candidates can apply for the Diploma in Midwifery course.

  • Students who have passed SSC / HSC or equivalent examination in A level / O level program can apply online by converting their number to GPA.
  • For admission in Bachelor of Science in Nursing Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery course, 10 per cent seats will be reserved for male candidates in government institutions and 20 per cent in non-government institutions.

Nursing Admission Application Process

Interested candidates must apply online. Candidates can complete the application process from the website bnmc.teletalk.com.bd. The following documents will be required to apply.

  • All personal information of the candidate
  • Exam roll, registration number and other information
  • College list
  • Scanned photo and signature

Complete the application by collecting the required information and following the steps below.

  • To apply, first click on the Apply button provided above.
  • Select BSc Nursing Application Option.
  • Select any one course of your choice.
  • This time fill in the application form and submit it by providing the required information as required.
  • Upload your newly taken passport size scanned photo and scanned signature at the designated place.
  • When all the information has been provided, submit your application.

Once the application is completed in the prescribed manner, you will receive a form with a username. You have to pay Rs.500 or Rs.700 / – for admission application within the stipulated time using the said user ID.

Application Fee Payment Process

Nursing Admission Application Fee can only be paid via SMS using Teletalk Prepaid SIM. Deposit the prescribed amount of money in Teletalk Prepaid SIM and apply by SMS in the following manner.

SMS Method

First SMS: BNMC <space> User ID and send to 16222

Second SMS: BNMC <space> YES <space> PIN and send to 16222

Application fee will be paid if SMS is sent in proper manner. Application for BSc Nursing course is 700 Taka and for Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery and Diploma in course is 500 Taka. In the return SMS the candidate will be given a user ID and password. Everyone who downloads the Admit Card later will need this user ID and password.

Nursing Admission Mark Distribution

A total of 100 multiple choice exams will be taken in the nursing admission test. The time will be one hour. And allot 50 more marks on GPA. In other words, a student will be selected for admission on the basis of a total of 150 marks. Students who get 40 percent marks in the admission test will be considered as successful.

Admission test for BSc in Nursing and Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery / Diploma in Midwifery courses will be taken according to the following distribution.

Determining the GPA number

A total of 50 marks are prescribed for GPA obtained in SSC and HSC examinations. This number will be determined according to the following rules.

4 times SSC and equivalent GPA = 20 (Maximum)
8 times GPA of HSC equivalent = 30 (Maximum)

Nursing Admission Admit Card Download 2022

All the students who have applied within the stipulated time will be able to download the admit card from 12th May 2022. The user ID and password obtained after completing the application will be required at the time of downloading the admit card. To use the said user ID and password, you have to download the admit card from the website bnmc.teletalk.com.bd.
